Meet Our Training Staff

Christopher Dolan is the Founder and President of DogWatch® of Greater Gainesville Ocala, and our lead trainer with over 15 years experience, education and certifications. Chris has a special gift for understanding and communicating with people as well as a genuine love for animals. Chris lives with his wife Melisha and their two rescued dogs Harley and Mr. Stumpy. He believes animals are God’s wonderful creation and his life's work is dedicated to successfully educating people and their companion animals.

During his career, Chris has received some of the highest accolades in the industry, as well as a Masters Degree in Education from Abilene Christian University. Chris was instrumental in developing one of the first pet therapy programs in the early 1990’s at the VA Hospital in Stonybrook, NY. “Many lives have been touched through this program. Pet therapy has helped numerous people overcome physical and emotional challenges. One person in particular had severe paralysis from stroke and over time we witnessed this man make dramatic improvements as he interacted with the dogs.” Throughout his career over the past 15 years Chris has worked with over 3,000 dogs and graduated various dogs through beginner and advanced dog training on the campus at The University of Farmingdale, NY.

Chris also received one on one instruction from world renowned dog trainer, Brian Kilcommons, who is responsible for designing the first and original Safe Dog® training protocol for hidden fencing in the early 1980’s which is still used today. Chris is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Chris currently serves on the National Advisory Board to DogWatch®, Inc. in Boston, MA and has spoken at national lectureships for pet containment in Palm Springs, CA and Scottsdale, AZ.  He has also completed extensive training in Boston, a requirement for all DogWatch® trainers.

Chris currently mentors new developing DogWatch® dealers. Chris believes his training and experience has enabled him to specialize in this area of pet containment. Chris no longer accepts training clients as he devotes all of his time to the most comprehensive solution for pet containment available today. Michael Lynch is our Canine Behaviorist with over 8 years of experience. Throughout his career he has trained and worked with over 1,000 dogs. Michael is a Breed Specialist, Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, and Boundary Training Expert. Michael specializes in enhancing the relationships between dogs and their owners. Through positive reinforcement and behavior modification, he provides superior one-on-one personalized training. An avid dog lover, Mike has a unique gift for evaluating dogs and solving problems such as jumping, barking, destructive behavior and separation anxiety. He utilizes his knowledge of breed characteristics to tailor fit a training program for you and your dogs’ specific needs and expectations. Michael has worked closely with veterinarians, vet technicians, groomers and pet stores; by educating them on the importance of responsible pet ownership, safe containment and positive reinforced training methods.

Michael lives in Ocala, FL with his wife Kala and three dogs; Bishop (Cane Corso), Snoop (Cane Corso) and Mia (American Staffordshire Terrier). He definitely has large breed experience and the confidence to handle such breeds. Mike can develop a program specific to you and your dog, according to your schedule at your own home.
